Making the tray.. After an impression a plaster model the model is poured and trimmed to approximately 3-4 mm from the gingival margin. Then a 0.5 - 1.0 mm layer of Block Out gel LC is applied on the labial surfaces of the teeth to be bleached, and light cured. This creates reservoirs in the tray for the bleaching gel.
After vacuum forming of the tray, excess material is removed and the tray trimmed with scissors. Interdental papillae are cut free and rough edges are smoothed.
The application.. Apply lentil-size amounts of gel from the syringe into the reservoirs in the tray. Wear the tray on the teeth overnight or for 3 - 4 hours during the day.
Remove excess gel from the gums with a toothbrush or a finger. Afterwards, clean the tray with water and a toothbrush and store it in the storage box.
